What a beautiful day it was! I know it got a little chilly for Jaya as we were doing photos but I'm so glad she's a trooper and stuck it out those last few minutes. She has such an amazing look to her combined with the beautiful venue that I just had to have it!! Jaya went right down the street in Montgomery to Kotsova's to find that gorgeous gown she was wearing. The florist was my good friend from Nina's Florist which I have to say are always elegant and classy. I'm not sure if they can do anything but elegant and classy!! I mean that as a compliment of course. For the second time in three weeks I got to work with Jason with Hey Mr DJ. Ironically I'm working with him again next weekend at the Oasis. Anyone wondering if that's a coincidence? Jason, I think you're stalking me.... I wouldn't mind if you made a better looking woman! The entire wedding ceremony and reception at the Manor House in Mason OH. The Ceremony was in the Atrium with the reception and cocktail hour in the Magnolia room. It was a pleasure to get to see the ladies from Mitchells in West Chester again as well as Steve Means who performed a beautiful and fitting wedding ceremony. The guys looked really sharp in the brand new Charcoal Tuxes from Folchi's Formalwear. The cake from Spoon Fulla Sugar. Which I avoided before I have to add a new hole to my belt!!
Everybody should have family and friends like Eric and Jaya so they can have a wedding like this. This is how it is supposed to be. Congratulations to you and your families and thank you!

Dan, Thank you so much for everything. You are more than a photographer. You are a master planner. When either of us needed something, you and your staff were always willing to make it happen. We will never forget it. Lastly, the pictures look amazing
Daniel Michael said on March 12, 2012 - 9:22am:
Thank you so much. That means more than you know.
Jaya White said on March 12, 2012 - 9:04pm:
Dan--Eric keeps catching me looking at the pictures...over...and over...and over. I seriously can't get over how beautiful they are. And this is just our sneak peak! It's going to be a long few weeks waiting for the rest! You do great work, and thank
Daniel Michael said on March 12, 2012 - 9:04pm:
You crack me up. I`m sure Eric is giving you plenty of crap over it as well he should!
Leela and Justin said on March 12, 2012 - 9:48pm:

I have no words to describe some of these pictures! I don't remember if I thanked you in my nervous welcome speech. Thank you for capturing the joy and sweetness of the occasion!
Daniel Michael said on March 13, 2012 - 10:08am:
You did catch me in the speach and also caught me again before I left. You made sure throughout the day and evening that we felt appreciated and part of the family.

It was great to get to spend the day with my new friends Sarah and Shane as well as some old friends in Lisa, Jenna and Karen. In addition to that, I got to work with some other friends in Nemar Maize with Maize Music and Andy and Jodie from Rmax films. This was my first wedding ceremony and reception in the newly renovated Madison Event Center in Covington Kentucky. The ceremony was in the Crystal Room with the Reception following in the Grand Ballroom where Maize Music set up the amazing lighting! It was a pleasure to get to see the ladies from Eye Do Makeup and Hair again as well as Tom Winkler from the Universal Life Church who performed the entertaining ceremony "with this wing, I the wed" Shane, that was PRICELESS! I can't wait for the video on that! The guys looked really sharp in their Peppe Ramundo Tuxes and I expected nothing less. The cake from Marilyn's cakes was unique as well. It's clear Sarah spent some time on pinterest!! I also got to spend a little time with the fine people from Say Cheese Photo Booth as well as Jimmy's Limos. All and all a great day!
It really was a great day. We had a few hick ups along the way but managed to get back on time with great help from the wedding party and family who was at this time still completely sober. (insert smiley face) It was a wonderful ceremony with a little humor mixed in and a beautiful reception with details and details to photograph! So much so that I'm going to try to post a second blog post just for that time permitting!!

It was a little chilly at the Bell Event Center in downtown Cincinnati today for Nick & Julie's wedding ceremony and reception. I had the pleasure of working with DJ/MC Steve Bender, Florist Yellow Canary, Hair and Make-Up A little off the top, Lighting CSC, Cake Spoon Fulla Sugar and Tuxes from Folchi Formal Wear.
Everything was fantastic. The decor that Julie's mom provided at the Bell was amazing as well as the new lighting package that CSC provided. The stories from the toasts in particular from Julie's brothers who saved her life at least 15 times a day after almost drowning her 15 times a day in the family pool. Great stories. How Nick ended up with the UC Dance team girl and his best man was left hanging out to dry even though Nick was his guest at the games is a story I'll have to get more details on one day. Hopefully he's landed on his feet now!
Enjoy the sneak peek. The rest to come soon!!

What can I say about Scott and Jen...? I think the one thing that really stood out to me about the two of them is just the way they get each other. I see a comfort level with who they are and appreciating everyone around them for who and what they are. It's a rare and valuable trait they both have. And it's part of what made this day so special. Never once did I feel like I was anything but an old family friend. I actually stayed an hour late just because I lost track of the time enjoying myself. Now I have to give some credit to Jason from Hey Mr DJ for that. He's not shy telling you that every wedding he dj/mc's is a PARTY!! Based on my experience, I think he's right! They also provided some lighting to add to the look of the room. Just that extra touch of blue which was one of the wedding colors to add a little custom ambiance to the Marquise by McHales in Wilder Kentucky. After giving Hey Mr DJ some credit there, I better give Inga from Affordable Wedding Creations some credit as well! Everything from the boutonnieres and bouquets to the centerpieces and decor were just beautiful!
I've also been avoiding wedding cake for some time for the sake of avoiding my gradual development into santa claus. However, I hadn't tasted cake from Cakes by Mindy outside of at bridal shows and decided it was time for me to break my streak. I'm glad I did. It was kinda fantastic! I also wanted to mention the Limousine and driver from Limousine Express. I tend to worry a little when I'm not with one of my usual transportation companies as seen some pretty shaky service. This was not the case. They were on time, clean limo, professional, easy to work with and friendly.
All and all, Scott and Jen had a pretty fantastic wedding. Enjoy the photos and please click the "like" and "retweet" buttons below!!

I had the distinct pleasure of being the photographer at the Hilton Netherlands in downtown Cincinnati last night for the Boys Hope Girls Hope charity event. It was such a good feeling to be surrounded by so many genuine and fun people as well as these fine young men and women who are striving to successes they never dreamed possible before becoming involved in this organization. There were many sponsors though I only had direct contact with a few of them and would like to thank them for donating their time or money to this great cause.
and Title Sponsor Kroger
I was able to see first hand the impact this cause makes on individual children. It turned around their lives to not only allow them to survive and stay out of trouble but to become leaders in the community as adults. If you are able, it's a cause well worth contributing too.
I also want to thank one of our bride's from 2011 for thinking to involve me in this truly special evening. Thank you Beth Lauber! I have all the photos posted to our facebook page for you to tag yourselves. I'll also be putting up a website in the next week or so for people to order photos if they wish. I'll also be sending a disc with all the images to beth so the people from Boys Hope Girls Hope can also have their own copies.
