Destination Wedding Photography, Jared and Rachel 7-30-11

By: Destination Wedding Photographers, Daniel Michael

July 31, 2011

OK, so maybe not the type of Destination Wedding Photography you expect from me, but we did travel to Bradford, IN and Salem IN for Jared and Rachel's destination wedding!  I'm not sure the day could have been much more perfect.  After a late night with Maybeliz and Trevor, it was an early morning to head down a little past Louisville to Bradford IN and St. Michaels.  But before we got there, we made a little stop at Dat KJun a block away for some lunch and a really nice start to the day.  The regular crowd was gathered for some breakfast when a the four of us walked in all decked out in black suits for the wedding and I think may have thrown a few of them for a loop till they realized we were here for the wedding and not the mafia or something!  We walked into a silent bar that wasn't silent before we opened the door!  Dat KJun is a local bar and grill with a nice casual atmosphere.  Had we not been traveling to Salem afterwards I'd have probably stopped back that night.  I heard there was going to be a good band coming in that night.  We sat at the bar till our food was ready (thanks Angela!) and enjoyed making a few new friends.  Ray, Angela and all the guests that made us feel welcome, thank you!  Hopefully we'll catch up again sometime!

From there it was over to St Michaels where the ladies were getting ready.  Here I was able to catch up with our old friends the West family which were the reason we were here.  Katie and Stephen were at Heritage Clubin Cincinnati married 4 years ago already!  It seems like just a year ago!  The weather was still cool enough when we arrived at 11:00 to get some outdoor photos prior to the destination wedding ceremony right there on the grounds.  It was warm but not too uncomfortable.  Jared and the guys were easy and fun to work with while the ladies were nothing short of gorgeous!  Rachel was absolutely glowing.  It's so nice to see two people so clearly in love and enjoying every second of it.  Too often we take love for granted.  But I digress and am getting too mushy!! I hope I'm not forgetting names, but Father Ted is absolutely the best!  I'm not sure I've been to a more enjoyable catholic wedding ceremony in my life.  He was charismatic, sincere, entertaining and genuine in his homily and throughout the mass.  The Florist, Hometown Gift and Variety created some vibrant beautiful bouquets.  Rachel had her hair done by Amanda at Hair-n-Harmony.  Rachel's bridal gown was from David's Bridaland her veil made by her mother!  Loved both!

Now it's time for the Destination Wedding Reception in Salem, IN at Cornerstone Hall.  DJ Jason Temple works through Cornerstone Hall and had the dance floor going all night.  Now he had plenty of help from an absolutely crazy group of people and a lot of music requests, but none the less, the dance floor was full all night.  Great job Jason!  I didn't try the Wedding Cake by Beth Gettlefinger, but it smelled good every time I walked past it while they were cutting it!  Everyone I came in contact with was fun, laid back, and genuinely friendly.  I had a great time.  Thank you guys for asking me to be a part of it!

Cincinnati Wedding Photography, Trevor and Maybeliz 7-29-11

July 31, 2011

The Senior Wedding Photographers at this wedding were Daniel Michael and Jessica Fischer.  It was just a little warm (95) but we still got outside as much as we could!  We hit Florence Nature Preserve with Maybeliz and Trevor prior to the Wedding Ceremony and followed it up at my new favorite place in Erlanger, Marydale Cristo Rey Parish.  I just love the pillars and steps at the front!  Maybeliz was stunning as expected (she's kinda hot even when it's cold!) and Trevor got to ride an alligator.  My first time to St Paul in Florence was a pleasant surprise.  It was much larger and more beautiful than I expected.  The stained glass was an impressive site for photos not to mention the boat for Trevor.  We followed up the Wedding Ceremony at St Paul with an amazing Wedding Reception at Receptions South in Erlanger Kentucky.

DJ L.E.S. Arturo Diaz did a fantastic job of blending some Puerto Rican flavor to an American style Wedding Reception.  Well done!  The dance floor was never empty!  Cincinnati Wedding Florist Secret Garden had absolutely stunning bouquets.  Rosie did a fantastic job on her hair while Karina from Make Up by Karina just made an already beautiful woman into a stunning bride.  Maybeliz gown from David's Bridal was perfect for her.  Just enough flair and just enough classic to fit her personality.  I absolutely loved the Wedding Cake!  Barb from Incredible Endingsreally out did herself this time!

It was so much fun to catch up with our old friend Yulia!  We'll miss you when you head back overseas this week.  You have to come back again soon!  Maybe I'll get married and you can be my maid of honor!  It was good times with good people and good friends.  I hope the memories of this night last a lifetime!... especially those of your mom and dad on the dance floor!!

Cincinnati Boudoir Photography

Boudoir Photography was a bit of a change of pace for me!  I enjoyed a more relaxed environment and the ability to play around with some ideas!  Oksana was not only stunning and sexy but so incredibly natural in front of the camera.  Everything she did looked good and all I had to do was make a few adjustments, get my lighting correct and fire away!  So much fun!

July 17, 2011

Cincinnati Senior Wedding Photographers Daniel Michael and Doug Oaks team up again!  This time our Indoor Ceremony is at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church followed by a beautiful Wedding Reception at the Madison Emerald Room.  I had the pleasure of working with two of my favorite vendors for the first time this year!  Jean Folchi with Folchi Make Up did such a fantastic job with Amy that I even talked her into letting me do some non smiling photos to show off her lips!  The other was JD Hughes with On the Air Entertainment Wedding DJ and MC.  JD is completely unique in his approach to wedding entertainment.  he not only MC's and DJ's your event, he gets to know you well enough and prepares himself to tell your story to your guests thoughout your wedding reception.  His classic voice, experience and charisma make him completely unique in this city and possibly the country!!  Our friends at RMAX films provided the video which I'm sure will be amazing!!  Cincinnati Florist Covent Garden provided some colorful and beautiful floral arrangements.  Motor Toys Limo Service provided the wedding transportation.  I swear this was like a who's who of my preferred vendors list!!  Salon Image, Body, Spirit provided the beautiful hair styles while the Wedding Cake was from Dianne's Cakes and Cookie Supply.  I didn't get to taste it, but it looked amazing!!  Amy's Bridal Gown was from Wendy's Bridal and I must say it fit you and your style perfectly.  You couldn't have been more beautiful Amy!  Andy, you looked pretty decent too for a musician!

What an amazing day.  You two are truly made for each other.  You are beautiful people and I consider myself lucky to have been a part of it.  Thank you.  It was perfect weather all day except for about 2 minutes where it poured down rain which just so happened to be at the same time as their bubble exit from the church!  You'll have to see those on the facebook page!  Enjoy the sneak peek.

Cincinnati Wedding Photography, Stephen & Alison

July 16, 2011

Cincinnati Senior Wedding Photographers Daniel Michael and Doug Oaks teamed up on quite a party this week!  Stephen and Alison were fantastic!  I have not met many couples as willing to get out of their comfort zone just for the sake of photos before.  Thank you!!  I got a little out of my comfort zone too as I was walking across that pipe to get below you on the bridge!  You'll have to check out the  Facebook page for that one!

Jeff, Amanda and the crew at Receptions put on a fantastic event as usual.  Cincinnati Wedding DJ and Lighting company, Party Pleasers went all out setting up the lighting and putting on quite a show!  The flowers from Flowers by Flora were perfect for Alison.  Of course Alison was absolutely breathtaking after D-zyns by Laura Dorger styled her hair while Rachel from Brideface put the finishing touches on her wedding day Make Up.  I kinda missed Jeff from Jeff Hill Video but Tina and Josh were fantastic so we did pretty well without you buddy!  It seems every one of our brides that goes to Fabulous Bridal in Covington Kentucky is just thrilled with their experience and their Bridal Gowns are just perfect.  I love it!  The Photo Booth from Shutterbooth was entertainment all night long!  They left with a very nice scrapbook.  I love love love that idea.

Alison and Stephen, I knew it was going to be a good night.  However, this far and away exceeded my expectations.  Everyone at your wedding was fun, crazy, sarcastic and new how to party!  Your Dad was singing, DJ was massaging cramps out of your foot, everyone was dancing and hitting the bar and the atmosphere was perfect.  I'm sure you're just thrilled with how everything went.  Enjoy your sneak peek!  The final version is 4-6 weeks away!!

Cincinnati Wedding Photography, Greg and Jessica 7-9-11

By: Cincinnati Wedding Photographers, Daniel Michael, Amanda Evans

July 10, 2011

Cincinnati Senior Wedding Photographers Daniel Michael and Amanda Evans Photograph Greg and Jessica.... FINALLY!  It seems like it's been years since the first time I met Greg and Jessica, Oh, wait, that's because it has been!  They came in about two years prior to their wedding!  And it's a good thing too!  I knew immediately when talking with Jessica that she would be a great addition to the team at Images by Daniel Michael Photography.  Turns out that in those two years Jessica had such an impact on our studio that she worked enough to pay for her photography as well as several of her other vendors!  I always felt like this day was so far off and all of a sudden it was this weekend.  Over the last two years I've gotten to know Jessica quite well and Greg a little too.  I can't put into words how happy I am that they found each other.  They are a perfect balance and I wish nothing but wonderful memories and a long and happy life together.

It was also great to see quite a few of our previous couples and I'm pretty sure a few of our future couples as well!  I ran into Jeff and Julie's cousin from 4-2-11 at the Cincinnati Zoo which I photographed as well as Jessica and Greg's cousin and her fiance who were also at that event because Jen works for the Zoo.  Jen and Chad who Amanda photographed 7-31-10, Shannon and Adam who Susan photographed 8-21-10 and the couple that got it all started Amy and Darren who our other Jessica photographed on 5-16-08.  I have one photo of groomsmen in the entire studio and it is of them.  In that photo Greg is a groomsmen and appears to have no legs below his knees!  We corrected that this time!  Thank you to Amy and Darren for choosing us.  Without you, none of this would have been possible and I would have missed out on not only a beautiful night but on some truly beautiful people.

Ok, enough of the sappy stuff!  Time to let you know who the vendors were!  The outdoor Wedding Ceremony was held in the gazebo at Manor House in Mason Ohio with the Reception immediately following in the Crystal Room.  The Wedding Flowers were provided by Mike and the wonderful people at Nina's Florist.  Jessica's hair was done by her good friend Jen and her wedding day Make Up was done by Nancy from Bridaface (AMAZING!).  The Wedding Video was done by Chris Knight who was a pleasure to work with.  No surprise the guys looked sharp since their tuxes were from the fantastic Peppe Ramundo and Carmen Ramundo.  Jessica's friend Julie helped plan and organize the wedding day and their friend and former teacher was the Wedding Officiant, Kevin Ritter.  Patricia's made the beautiful and delicious Wedding Cake.  And last but not least were the Wedding DJ Kyle and MC Jason from Hey Mr DJ.  I know without any doubt that Jessica would tell you that having Jason as the MC at their wedding completely changed and enhanced the personal aspect of their wedding as well as making for one hell of a party!  I look forward to every opportunity to work with Jason and the guys at Hey Mr DJ because of their incredible preparation and personalization of each wedding. For example (I hope I'm not giving away any secrets here!), but during their first dance, Jason had recorded the vows that Jessica and Greg wrote and incorporated them throughout their first dance song for everyone to hear again.  I want to thank all the vendors for not just doing a great job but for taking such good care of my friends.  I couldn't have worked with a better crew today and I'm not sure any of you truly know how much Jessica and Greg appreciate you.  Ok, time for me to shut up!  I couldn't stop selecting photos so there are about 100 on the Facebook Page as well.

Cincinnati Wedding Photography; Keenan and Drea 7-3-11

By: Cincinnati Wedding Photographers; Daniel Michael & Doug Oaks

July 4, 2011

The Senior Photographers at this wedding were Daniel Michael and Doug Oaks.  All Portraits are courtesy of Images by Daniel Michael.

The Outdoor Ceremony Destination and Reception Location were both at the French House at French Park which is run by Premier Park Events.  Their Wedding DJ was Earl with DJ Bandcamp.  I love the the way Earl made things happen but yet still went with the flow.  He knew just how to play to the crowd.  The Wedding Cake was prepared by Patricia's.  I kept to my diet tonight, but the temptation was enough to make me have angry thoughts toward Patricia!  (Just kidding if you don't know my sarcasm)  The beautiful flowers were provided by the Florist Yellow Canary.  Drea had her hair done by Le Peacock Salon in Blue Ash and Make Up was done by the amazingly talented Chenese Bean.  Despite some car issues that slowed her down, Chenese was able to get where she needed to, get Drea's make up done on time and have everyone looking like a million bucks.  All the while maintaining her smile and professionalism.  My hat's off to Chenese!  I couldn't have done my part without you.  The tuxes came from a formal wear place in Lexington called Geno's Formal Affair and I must say I was impressed.  The fit, the look and everything about the tuxes was perfect.  I'm sure nobody is surprised that the dinner from Chef's Choice Catering was amazing!  I cleaned my plate despite the fact that I'm pretty sure they served me a whole chicken!!  Drea's gown was a very unique look from the Vera Wang Collection at Bridal and Formal.  If I remember the relationship correctly, Drea's cousin Neisha Walker was also the Wedding Planner.  Neisha, I'm not sure I can understate this... WOOOOW!!  Great job taking care of all the little details and making sure everything went according to plan.  Or if things didn't go according to plan, I wouldn't have known it because of you!

Drea, you were a trooper when you needed to be in the heat and trying to wrap up your photos prior to your wedding; you were as sweet as they come and then absolutely stunning the entire day.  The love and joy in your eyes is something I know Keenan will always treasure.  Keenan, the best way to describe you is you are her perfect match and I think Juliana is your proof of that statement.  Congratulations to you both and your friends and family.  You're wedding was a complete success!

Cincinnati Wedding Photography Steve & Christie, 7-2-11

By: Cincinnati Wedding Photographers Daniel Michael, Denise Ante

July 3, 2011

What a great day for wedding photography in Cincinnati at the Manor House!  Steve and Christie had their wedding ceremony outdoors in the Gazebo at Manor House in Mason Ohio and had their wedding reception in the Crystal Room.  The entertainment was provided by the always entertaining Sly Band who kept everyone going right up till 11 pm!  The colorful floral arrangements were prepared by Adrian Durban Cincinnati Florists.  It was nice again to see the tuxes from Folchi's Formal Wear.  It's so easy to tell when it's folchi's tuxes because I never hear a word about the tuxes... because everything fits!!  The beautiful wedding cake was prepared by their good friend Andrea.  If you're looking for where she purchased that stunning gown, it was Fabulous Bridal in Covington Kentucky.  The Say Cheese Photo Booth was a big hit as always!  There was a nice steady line all night long to have photos taken and add memories to Steve and Christie's album!

Cincinnati Wedding Photography , Cody & Eva, 7-1-11

By: Cincinnati Wedding Photographers Daniel Michael, Emily Naehring

July 2, 2011

An all star cast of vendors for an all star couple.  Cody and Eva were my kinda of couple!  Love them!  I wish we were in vegas so we could keep going!  Of course if that were the case, I wouldn't be posting these photos!  So, first things first!  I have to give credit to a group of vendors who were absolutely first class.  I have to start with the staff at Drees Pavillion at Devou park.  You guys were on top of everything and made sure Cody and Eva could enjoy every moment of their night!  McHales Catering  not only had amazing food, but had everyone fed and ready to party so fast that I was almost not even ready yet!  Then of course there was Jimmy Jam with CSC productions.  It's been too long my friend!  I'll have to work on correcting that!!  The wedding hair and make up was done by Salon Beck and I must say the ladies were stunning.  I'd like to give credit to the people from Salon Beck but at the same time, I'm pretty sure these ladies were going to look amazing no matter what!!  The room was decked out by nothing but the best; Susan Foy was the event designer while the fine people at Goodwin Lighting accented the room.  The guys were decked out in nothing but the best from Folchi's Formalwear which lead to my second week in a row of no issues with tuxes!!  Savannah Nite had a pimped out limo to get everyone around (in particular to the after party at Bartini's).  Patricia's cake was the usual... Amazing!!!  Uncle Rick performed a fantastic ceremony where he ad libbed as necessary to make everything just perfect.

Cody and Eva are very lucky people.  First of all, you're lucky to have found each other.  You're the couple everyone wants to be.  Second, you have the complete support of your family and friends.  They all love you so much that the after party struggled (I use that term loosely) to get started without you!  Ok, so they were partying like rock stars and barley noticed when you arrived.  Anyways, you have a great support system, a great example in your parents and siblings who look up to you and are there for you anytime you need them.  Oh and did I mention, you had a kick ass wedding!!
