It was a little chilly at the Bell Event Center in downtown Cincinnati today for Nick & Julie's wedding ceremony and reception. I had the pleasure of working with DJ/MC Steve Bender, Florist Yellow Canary, Hair and Make-Up A little off the top, Lighting CSC, Cake Spoon Fulla Sugar and Tuxes from Folchi Formal Wear.
Everything was fantastic. The decor that Julie's mom provided at the Bell was amazing as well as the new lighting package that CSC provided. The stories from the toasts in particular from Julie's brothers who saved her life at least 15 times a day after almost drowning her 15 times a day in the family pool. Great stories. How Nick ended up with the UC Dance team girl and his best man was left hanging out to dry even though Nick was his guest at the games is a story I'll have to get more details on one day. Hopefully he's landed on his feet now!
Enjoy the sneak peek. The rest to come soon!!

What can I say about Scott and Jen...? I think the one thing that really stood out to me about the two of them is just the way they get each other. I see a comfort level with who they are and appreciating everyone around them for who and what they are. It's a rare and valuable trait they both have. And it's part of what made this day so special. Never once did I feel like I was anything but an old family friend. I actually stayed an hour late just because I lost track of the time enjoying myself. Now I have to give some credit to Jason from Hey Mr DJ for that. He's not shy telling you that every wedding he dj/mc's is a PARTY!! Based on my experience, I think he's right! They also provided some lighting to add to the look of the room. Just that extra touch of blue which was one of the wedding colors to add a little custom ambiance to the Marquise by McHales in Wilder Kentucky. After giving Hey Mr DJ some credit there, I better give Inga from Affordable Wedding Creations some credit as well! Everything from the boutonnieres and bouquets to the centerpieces and decor were just beautiful!
I've also been avoiding wedding cake for some time for the sake of avoiding my gradual development into santa claus. However, I hadn't tasted cake from Cakes by Mindy outside of at bridal shows and decided it was time for me to break my streak. I'm glad I did. It was kinda fantastic! I also wanted to mention the Limousine and driver from Limousine Express. I tend to worry a little when I'm not with one of my usual transportation companies as seen some pretty shaky service. This was not the case. They were on time, clean limo, professional, easy to work with and friendly.
All and all, Scott and Jen had a pretty fantastic wedding. Enjoy the photos and please click the "like" and "retweet" buttons below!!

I had the distinct pleasure of being the photographer at the Hilton Netherlands in downtown Cincinnati last night for the Boys Hope Girls Hope charity event. It was such a good feeling to be surrounded by so many genuine and fun people as well as these fine young men and women who are striving to successes they never dreamed possible before becoming involved in this organization. There were many sponsors though I only had direct contact with a few of them and would like to thank them for donating their time or money to this great cause.
and Title Sponsor Kroger
I was able to see first hand the impact this cause makes on individual children. It turned around their lives to not only allow them to survive and stay out of trouble but to become leaders in the community as adults. If you are able, it's a cause well worth contributing too.
I also want to thank one of our bride's from 2011 for thinking to involve me in this truly special evening. Thank you Beth Lauber! I have all the photos posted to our facebook page for you to tag yourselves. I'll also be putting up a website in the next week or so for people to order photos if they wish. I'll also be sending a disc with all the images to beth so the people from Boys Hope Girls Hope can also have their own copies.
