This one certainly snuck up on me!  It seems I just saw Ron and Michelle a few weeks ago after they were engaged.  This one was another family reunion for me!  Ron and I grew up together in the same neighborhood while Michelle was in my high school graduating class.  So all my old neighbors were here including Tom and Sue who are the parents of a couple of our past grooms Mike and Ben, my own parents, the parents of my best men at my wedding and I could go on but will not!  Then there were some high school friends as well as a couple of our previous couples Chad & Jen and Joel & Shelly.  I ran into a groomsman from one of last year's weddings where another groomsman was sent to the ER for stitches.  It seems the list never ends!  It was so much fun seeing some people I haven't seen in 10-20 years as well as getting a chance to get a chance to really see what kind of people Ron, Michelle, Sabrina, Elliot and Grant have become in the years we've been away from each other.  I completely forgot how much fun everyone is!

I was so thrilled for Michelle to see how amazing of a day it was.  It seemed everything just went exactly as it was supposed to.  The weather was perfect, everyone was on time or early, the ceremony and reception at Receptions West were beautiful, Ron and Michelle both cried when they saw each other and everyone was fun and exceptionally photogenic.  Will from DJ Toad had the dance floor hopping and then met us at JTAPS Sports Bar afterward where Tommy was so kind and took great care of everyone.  BTW, when you go to the facebook page, that's him blowing fire!  The cake was perfect and I heard it was tasty so thanks to Cakes by Mindy for that!  I have horribly forgotten the name of the Chauffeur from Your Chauffeur but she was fun, and right on top of things.  Everyone loved her!  It's only appropriate that Michelle had the florist from Kroger in Montgomery do her flowers since she manages that store.  They were wonderful.  The Kroger people certainly were there in force as well!

We really couldn't have asked for anymore from you and I can only hope that you love the photos as much as we enjoyed being there.

What can I say about Scott and Jen...?  I think the one thing that really stood out to me about the two of them is just the way they get each other.  I see a comfort level with who they are and appreciating everyone around them for who and what they are.  It's a rare and valuable trait they both have.  And it's part of what made this day so special.  Never once did I feel like I was anything but an old family friend.  I actually stayed an hour late just because I lost track of the time enjoying myself.  Now I have to give some credit to Jason from Hey Mr DJ for that.  He's not shy telling you that every wedding he dj/mc's is a PARTY!!  Based on my experience, I think he's right!  They also provided some lighting to add to the look of the room.  Just that extra touch of blue which was one of the wedding colors to add a little custom ambiance to the Marquise by McHales in Wilder Kentucky.  After giving Hey Mr DJ some credit there, I better give Inga from Affordable Wedding Creations some credit as well!  Everything from the boutonnieres and bouquets to the centerpieces and decor were just beautiful!

I've also been avoiding wedding cake for some time for the sake of avoiding my gradual development into santa claus.  However, I hadn't tasted cake from Cakes by Mindy outside of at bridal shows and decided it was time for me to break my streak.  I'm glad I did.  It was kinda fantastic!  I also wanted to mention the Limousine and driver from Limousine Express.  I tend to worry a little when I'm not with one of my usual transportation companies as seen some pretty shaky service.  This was not the case.  They were on time, clean limo, professional, easy to work with and friendly.

All and all, Scott and Jen had a pretty fantastic wedding.  Enjoy the photos and please click the "like" and "retweet" buttons below!!

I'm not sure Receptions Loveland has ever looked so good as it did when Tim and Jeremy from Party Pleasers DJ's Got done with it!  I have quite a few more room shots that aren't on the page if you guys want them.  Cakes by Mindy had a beautiful cake that I didn't get the chance to to taste.  However, I got some samples the next day at the bridal show at Receptions Fairfield!  It was an all Receptions weekend!

Good Shepherd Church was the Wedding Ceremony Location where I got to catch up with my old buddy Jeff from Jeff Hill Video.  I had the pleasure of working with his much more charming staff at the house with the ladies :-).  Folchi's formalwear had the guys looking good and  Ashley Matho Make Up Artistry had the ladies looking good (as well as looking good herself!)

Now on to the party.  I must say this was one of the most incredible wedding receptions I've ever seen.  The decor looked amazing but what truly amazed me was that after an afternoon ceremony, a break for photos and then a 6 hour reception, I'm pretty sure it could have gone two more hours.  There was no quit in either of these families.  And when I say a 6 hour reception, I don't mean that they opened the doors and had an hour before the bride and groom arrived or a cocktail hour.  The bride and groom were there at 7:00 and guests were arriving by the busload at 6:30.  At 1:00 am, the grandma's were still on the dance floor!  In addition to that, we had Katie's Grandma singing "play that funky music white boy" on the microphone and Katie's sister serenading her with "I touch myself".  I think I counted Tim's Dad's "floor count" at about 5.  By "floor count" I mean how many times I saw him on his back doing something crazy on the dance floor.

It was an amazing night for two amazing people and wonderful families.  I look forward to the next family wedding!  I don't care where in the world it may be... I'm there!
