It was a FUN Friday for this photographer! I first want to say just how great everyone was today. Always pleasant, smiling and wanting us to enjoy ourselves as well. Second I have to say Mrs. Jena Kirkendall made a STUNNING bride! So, for the second week in a row I was right back in Covington at the newly remodeled Madison Emerald Room for the wedding reception. We had amazing weather for the beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at the Rose Garden in Ault Park. It seems not only am I making regular appearances at the Madison, but I also keep running into my good friend Nemar Maize with Maize Music! I love listening to Nemar mix music. When he's your DJ, you hear at least three times the number of songs you do with other DJ's. The wedding cake was from Bakery Hill, Florist was Kroger, Tuxes from the fine people at Folchi's, hair and make up from Mary Spencer and Jenna's bridal gown from Fabulous Bridal. It seems we've been seeing an awful lot of Jimmy's Limo. I'm not positive who helped them with their first dance but I know I recommended Bud Walters and it looked an awful lot like his magic!
Now of course I need a special line to thank the wonderful team from Jeff Hill Video. Not only is it always a pleasure to see them and work with them, but Jeff referred Jenna and Mario to us!
Having said all that, I think you can get a pretty good feel for everything by looking at the photos here and facebook. Enjoy!

It was a long weekend for this photographer! But it was well worth it! I had two super fun weddings and then a few fantastic engagement sessions on Sunday. After a stunning evening at The Grand on Friday, I was right back in Covington at the newly remodeled Madison Emerald Room for the wedding reception. The Ceremony was at the gorgeous and always easy to work with St Francis De Sales. To me the striking part of this day was simply family. As the best man and maid of honor spoke so well, it's about bonds. I could see it in their eyes, Dad, Mom, Sister, Brother and husband and wife. I saw great joy, love and people who would give anything for each other. The evening however was highlighted by the Amnesia Lane Band who were nothing short of spectacular! The wedding cake was fantastic and made by (I feel like saying "as usual" here) Spoon Fulla Sugar. The florist was Secret Garden and hair and make up was done by the Style Squad. If you loved Michelle's bridal gown as much as we did, it was from Fabulous Bridal and as you can see on the facebook page, they also had a photo booth from Say Cheese and a limo from Land Force One.
Having said all that, I think you can get a pretty good feel for everything by looking at the photos here and facebook. Enjoy!

It was great to get to spend the day with my new friends Sarah and Shane as well as some old friends in Lisa, Jenna and Karen. In addition to that, I got to work with some other friends in Nemar Maize with Maize Music and Andy and Jodie from Rmax films. This was my first wedding ceremony and reception in the newly renovated Madison Event Center in Covington Kentucky. The ceremony was in the Crystal Room with the Reception following in the Grand Ballroom where Maize Music set up the amazing lighting! It was a pleasure to get to see the ladies from Eye Do Makeup and Hair again as well as Tom Winkler from the Universal Life Church who performed the entertaining ceremony "with this wing, I the wed" Shane, that was PRICELESS! I can't wait for the video on that! The guys looked really sharp in their Peppe Ramundo Tuxes and I expected nothing less. The cake from Marilyn's cakes was unique as well. It's clear Sarah spent some time on pinterest!! I also got to spend a little time with the fine people from Say Cheese Photo Booth as well as Jimmy's Limos. All and all a great day!
It really was a great day. We had a few hick ups along the way but managed to get back on time with great help from the wedding party and family who was at this time still completely sober. (insert smiley face) It was a wonderful ceremony with a little humor mixed in and a beautiful reception with details and details to photograph! So much so that I'm going to try to post a second blog post just for that time permitting!!

What a beautiful and crazy day!! I really appreciated how much everyone's flexibility and how they worked with us. Even more important to me is how they made me feel like part of the family. I look forward to a trip to New York for Jeremy's brother's wedding sometime soon! Jeremy and Crystal have been waiting for this day for a long long time. It was originally planned for August of 2010 if I remember correctly but little Cameron mad a suprise visit about a year ago and postponed the wedding till now. Having said that, there was a little extra celebration in order and the party was on!
The Wedding Ceremony was held at the beautiful St Xavier in Downtown Cincinnati followed by the Wedding Reception at the Madison’s Grand Ballroom in Northern Kentucky. My good friend Jeff Clark from Party Pleasers provided the entertainment and additional lighting. Crystal was absolutely beautiful and had her hair and make up done by Eye Do Make Up. Motortoys limo service provided transportation with among the best chauffeur’s in the city in Jeff Green. I avoided the Wedding Cake knowing I’d eat it all as it looked like Spoon Fulla Sugar’sRed Velvet as well as their Hummingbird cake. KEEP IT AWAY FROM ME!!
I had a great time with you guys and really enjoyed getting to know some of your family and friends as well. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I’ll try to get the rest back to you before Christmas! Congratulations!

What a unique group this was! First of all, everyone was so laid back and easy to work with. Davin and Jilian were so easy going but boy were they ready to party! And Nemar with Maize Music did not disappoint!! The staff at the Madison Event Center was amazing headed by Lisa Greene who took care of both the Wedding Ceremony located in the loftat the Madison South as well as the Crystal room at the Madison North for the Wedding Reception. Every time I see Lisa, I know we are in for smooth sailing all day long and that's exactly what we had.

I've been a wedding photographer in Cincinnati for 12 years and have seen Black, Purple, Red, Ivory, Champagne and White Wedding Dresses. But, Friday I got to see my first Tie Dyed Wedding Dress! As you can imagine, Friday was a fun night! The Ceremony was at St Henry's followed by the Reception at The Madison Crystal Room. The Florist was Secret Garden in Florence. It was nice to work with my guy Tom Winkler from T&F Music who was MC and DJ for the evening.
Since you already know there is a Tie Dyed wedding dress involved here I'm sure you stopped reading a while back. So I'm headed to the photos.

As Wedding Photographers in Cincinnati we get to see lots of different types of weddings. Everything from the ridiculous, to the hilarious, classy, fun, romantic, sweet and just about everything you can imagine. This week, it was a group of the most genuine sweet people you could assemble into one room. I don't remember a more relaxed wedding day in some time! I thank you guys for having us be a part of it and I thank those who helped us make all this happen. In particular, I'd like to thank the ladies in the wedding party for some of your ideas! I loved them!

Cincinnati Senior Wedding Photographers Daniel Michael and Doug Oaks team up again! This time our Indoor Ceremony is at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church followed by a beautiful Wedding Reception at the Madison Emerald Room. I had the pleasure of working with two of my favorite vendors for the first time this year! Jean Folchi with Folchi Make Up did such a fantastic job with Amy that I even talked her into letting me do some non smiling photos to show off her lips! The other was JD Hughes with On the Air Entertainment Wedding DJ and MC. JD is completely unique in his approach to wedding entertainment. he not only MC's and DJ's your event, he gets to know you well enough and prepares himself to tell your story to your guests thoughout your wedding reception. His classic voice, experience and charisma make him completely unique in this city and possibly the country!! Our friends at RMAX films provided the video which I'm sure will be amazing!! Cincinnati Florist Covent Garden provided some colorful and beautiful floral arrangements. Motor Toys Limo Service provided the wedding transportation. I swear this was like a who's who of my preferred vendors list!! Salon Image, Body, Spirit provided the beautiful hair styles while the Wedding Cake was from Dianne's Cakes and Cookie Supply. I didn't get to taste it, but it looked amazing!! Amy's Bridal Gown was from Wendy's Bridal and I must say it fit you and your style perfectly. You couldn't have been more beautiful Amy! Andy, you looked pretty decent too for a musician!
What an amazing day. You two are truly made for each other. You are beautiful people and I consider myself lucky to have been a part of it. Thank you. It was perfect weather all day except for about 2 minutes where it poured down rain which just so happened to be at the same time as their bubble exit from the church! You'll have to see those on the facebook page! Enjoy the sneak peek.

I try not to look forward to future weddings since I have to keep my focus on what's in front of me. But this was an exception. I've known Ben since he was a few months old and Trisha since Ben's Senior Portraits. Pretty much since the day I photographed the two of them at Ben's Senior Photography Session, I've been waiting for this day. Ben's family was like a second family to me growing up (not that I wasn't fine with the first family!), but Mrs. Williams did bake 975 cookies for tonight so you judge for yourself! Anyways, knowing the whole family and having shot weddings for them before, I knew the Williams side of the family knew how to party. But tonight, FINALLY, they met their match with Trisha's! I never ever say that anything was the "best ever". But I'll say this, if anyone wants to compare themselves to become the best party ever, this is your measuring stick. Well done my friends!
It was great to see Joe and Nicole after almost a year since their wedding. At midnight it became Joe's birthday and he made it well worthwhile! There are going to be so so many photos. I haven't even looked at any of Doug or Don's Candids yet! But as promised, I wanted you to have a sneak peek by the time you woke today. I know Ben and Trisha have another wedding to get to today so I hope they get a chance to have a glimpse of these before then. But have a great time at the wedding today and then off to Mexico I believe!
Love you guys. This one will not soon be forgotten by anyone! It was so nice to see so many of my friends and family having such a great time.
Thank you to Jeff from Party Pleasers for taking such great care of my friends and creating an atmosphere that allowed this to be the best party I can remember in quite some time!
