Bar Bat Mitzvah Photographer FAQ

Have you photographed children?

We've been photographing children from newborns to seniors for 20 years but more importantly have been photographing mitzvahs since 2010.

How do you capture the Torah Rehearsal?

We will treat this more as a portrait session blending the natural light of the temple with studio lights for clean well lit photos.

What is your preferred style of photographing an event?

We personalize our approach to every event.  We will of course capture the traditional portraits and generally prefer to blend in as much as possible at the reception to capture candid or more photojournalistic photos.  If we are allowed to photograph in the temple, we will be very discrete and follow any guidlines provided.

Do you shoot a pre-mitzvah portrait session?

We are happy to incorporate a pre-mitzvah portrait session.  This is typically done outdoors and we encourage you to include some of your child's interests either through props and/or locations.

How do we receive our photos?

We always provide all photos fully edited full resolution to download from a website.  You and your family can order from this website or you can print them yourself with the copyright release.

When will our photos be ready?

Your photos will be print ready and ready for download within 4-6 weeks.

Is your studio certified and insured?

There is no certification for photographers so choose wisely.  Yes we are insured.

How do you store our photos?

We have multiple back ups of your photos for at least 3 months.  You should back them up in multiple locations outside your home (ideal in a cloud) in addition to your primary source to ensure you don't ever need our back up.
